We've got an interesting program for you on Friday, September 6th?  Jacám Manricks will be joining us.  Jacám, a saxophonist, is a renowned jazz musician who established his bona fides as a composer, arranger, and improviser of the highest order.  You won't want to miss this speaker!  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club.

Join us on Friday, September 13th for a presentation by Evelyn Jensen, CEO of Impact100 (Sacramento Chapter).  Born and raised in Sacramento, Evelyn learned at an early age from her philanthropic parents the importance of giving back to the community. She continues to be a strong believer in volunteerism. Focusing on fund development, she has been actively involved raising money and awareness for numerous nonprofits in the Sacramento area for over 30 years, which led her to create the Sacramento Chapter of Impact 100.  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club.

Join us for an insightful, interesting and informative presentation when Zack Bayrouty will be our speaker.  Zack is the voice of the River Cats baseball and will surely share great stories from the team.  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club at 7:30 am!

Join us on October 4th for a timely and informative presentation on the history of Israel and antiSemitism.  Our speaker will be Harry Sperber and we will be meeting at North Ridge Country Club, beginning at 7:30 am!

Join us on Friday, October 11th for an interesting presentation by Tara McConnell, board certified music therapist.  Tara works with Sophie's Place at Sutter Medical Center's Children's Center, which was established to provide music therapy rooms in children's hospitals to treat young people suffering from pain, chronic illness and serious injury.  We will be meeting at North Ridge Country Club, beginning at 7:30 am.

Our annual Putting for Polio event at Haggin Oaks - please join us for this great event to have fun and help us raise funds to eradicate polio...in the world!  The eradication of polio is Rotary's #1 goal and we are doing our part to support that endeavor!  We'll be meeting at Haggin Oaks Golf Course and will have a putting course all laid out.  Bring your putter...but we may also be providing some unique putters as well!

Join us for our annual recognition of those that have served and supported our country's freedom.  Our Veteran's Day program is where we honor veterans, in our club and in the country.  This is always a very special meeting that you don't want to miss!  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club - the meeting begins promptly at 7:30 am.

We're moving our meeting location just for this one special night - a social at B Street Theatre!  Invite your friends, family and anyone interested in getting to know us better.  Join us on Thursday night, November 21st from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  The B Street Theatre is located at 2700 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento.  Since we'll be meeting on Thursday evening, we won't be meeting on Friday morning...so y'all get to sleep in!

Join us on Friday, Dec. 6th when our speaker will be Jacob Gutierrez Montoya, the founder and Artistic Diretor of the Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre.  We will be meeting at Del Paso Country Club, beginning at 7:30 am. 

Join us on Friday at 7:30 am when our speaker will be our very own Point West Rotarian - Carol Van Bruggen.  Carol will be talking about the work she and the organization she founded (Africa Hope Fund) have done in Zambia, Africa, with the support of our club.  From conservation of the beautiful wildlife there to educating the children...Carol shows the value of the efforts of our club and so many others to make life better and make a difference in this area of the world!  We will be meeting at North Ridge Country Club this week!

It's time for PWR's annual holiday meeting/party.  Fun, frivolity...and a whole lot of generous giving by our members!  This event is being planned by our very own President-Elect Dorthe Wright so she will be bringing her unique Danish take on the holidays!  We also fully expect to have a Santa sighting, as well as an Ugly Sweater contest and the 12 Days of Christmas (our members come up with some very creative "days" - so this is not to be missed!).  Bring family and friends to join us for this festive occasion and help to celebrate the holidays!

Join us for this special meeting when our speaker will be Kyle Watters, Ph.D., Astronomy and Physics at California State University, Sacramento.  Come prepared to learn more about our world...and beyond!  He is a popular professor in the Physics and Astronomy Dept. at CSUS, and head of the planetarium.  This year's topic: "James Webb and Beyond: What Comes Next?"  He will bring great new imagery and a few quick slides worth of material on other current or upcoming missions. The meeting starts at 7:30 am and we'll be at Del Paso Country Club.

A club favorite, we will be having our annual speech contest on January 24, 2025 at our club meeting at Del Paso Country Club.  Join us as we hear from students from Encina High presenting their speeches using the theme "The Magic of Service".  The meeting will start at 7:30 am.

Join us for this special meeting when our speakers will be Peter Le Lievre and Chuck Thompson with the Flying Samaritans.  The Flying Sams are a group of professionals from many different walks of life interested in helping provide healthcare services monthly at no charge to the people in Baja California, Mexico who otherwise have no access to medical, dental and vision care. They are physicians, nurses, dentists, pilots, translators and many other people who serve as "helpers".  Learn more about this amazing organization and what they do to make a difference in the lives of others.  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club beginning at 7:30 am.

Join us on Friday, February 7, 2025 when we'll hear from Todd Koolakian about the Sacramento Children's Home.  He is the Director of Philanthropy for the Children's Home, as well as the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Sacramento and currently serves as an Assistant Governor for our District.  The meeting will be at Del Paso Country Club beginning at 7:30 am.
