Please join us for this informative and insightful presentation by Bonnie Rea, Family Care Specialist with the Alzheimer's Association.  The Alzheimer's Association is the leading, global voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care and support, and the largest private, nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research. Bonnie provides direct services to individuals living with mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and their families. She conducts education workshops, facilitates support groups, provides care consultation, oversees early stage programs, and leads outreach and community engagement efforts to the diverse communities in the greater Sacramento region.  This is your opportunity to learn about this disease from an expert!  We will be meeting at Del Paso Country Club - the meeting begins at 7:30 am.

Join us on Friday, May 16th at Del Paso Country Club for another fun and informative meeting!  Our speaker will be Donna Eckwortzel, Founder and Executive Director for Hearts Landing Ranch.  Utilizing rescued horses for mental health therapy, Hearts Landing Ranch provides over 2,000 hours annually of mental health services to some of the most underserved people in our communities who suffer in silent desperation - including but not limited to, children, families, individuals, Veterans and First Responders.  They cover issues that range from sexual abuse, domestic violence, PTSD, human trafficking and everything in between.  Hearts Landing Ranch has been serving clients in El Dorado, Placer and Sacramento Counties for over 10 years.  A not-to-be-missed meeting, for sure!

This Friday is sure to put a song in your heart as we welcome renowned pianist Jennifer Reason!  Jennifer is a vibrant young performer in consistent demand and the recipient of Sacramento Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Award for 2016.  And she's coming to our club to share her story and experiences!  Comraderie, breakfast and a whole lot of fun...don't miss this meeting!  We'll be ringing the bell at 7:30 am at Del Paso Country Club.

Instead of our usual Friday morning meeting, we'll be heading downtown to the Sofia, home of the B Street Theatre for an evening of fun and fellowship!  Bring your family and friends and enjoy an evening of mixing and mingling - join us at 5:30 pm!

Join us on Friday, June 13th at Del Paso Country Club when our speaker will be Cecily Hastings.  Cecily is the founder and owns and operates Inside Sacramento and offers her insight and views on local issues each month.

If you think your local library only lets you check out books...you won't want to miss this meeting!  Molly Milazzo, librarian, will share the Book of Things...a variety of household items and tools that you can check out from the library.  Learn more about what your library has to offer.  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club....breakfast first and then the meeting starts promptly at 7:30 am!

Get ready for the second meeting of the 41st term with our wonderful Queen - Dorthe Wright!  Our speaker will be Dan Walters from CalMatters.  Dan is one of most decorated and widely syndicated columnists in California history, authoring a column four times a week that offers his view and analysis of the state’s political, economic, social and demographic trends. CalMatters is a nonpartisan and nonprofit news organization bringing Californians stories that explain and explore solutions to quality of life issues while trying to hold our leaders accountable.  Join us for another royal meeting where you don't know what will transpire!  Bellringers, happy dollars, buffet breakfast, announcements and camaraderie!  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club and will ring the bell at 7:30 am...come early to socialize and mingle with other Rotarians!

Join us on Friday, July 25th for the usual fun, merriment, camaraderie and a recap of the time, talents and treasures of our members!  The best part will be the speaker we have scheduled...our very own Sean Harris will be talking about cybersecurity...something we all need to learn more about!  Sean is a great speaker and will share his knowledge and expertise about the practice of protecting systems, networks, and data from digital attacks.  Don't miss this meeting...Queen Dorthe will be presiding and we will be meeting at Del Paso Country Club!

You won't want to miss this meeting...Harlan Van Vooren will be our speaker.  Harlan is with Baird Investments and has been our long-time pro-bono investment advisor for our club's Foundation.  He will share insights on what's happening in the investment market going forward.  Join us for our weekly fun, announcements, breakfast, camaraderie and service!  We'll be at Del Paso Country Club...meeting begins at 7:30 am!

Join us on Friday, August 8th for the usual purpose, fun and connections...as well as a wonderful buffet breakfast!  Our speaker will be Sonya Bradley, Chief Inclusion & Community Engagement Officer for Visit Sacramento.  The purpose of Visit Sacramento is to improve the quality of life for Sacramento residents by driving visitor spending that supports the regional economy, business community, and creates jobs.  Another interesting meeting that you won't want to miss!  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club - the bell rings at 7:30 am.  Come early for breakfast and socializing!

One of our favorite meetings of the year - the District Governor visit!   Megan Ellinghouse, our current District Governor will be our guest speaker and will share her insights on what's happening in the world of Rotary and in our District.  Come early for breakfast and mingling with other club members...bell rings at 7:30 am and we'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club.

This free, first-of-its-kind weekend celebration features food and drink tastings, live music, celebrity chef demonstrations, educational panels, artisan vendors, and more, bringing the flavors and traditions of Sacramento, California, and the world together into one unforgettable experience.  Another not-to-be-missed meeting!  The meeting starts promptly at 7:30 am at Del Paso Country Club...but come early for socializing and breakfast!

Our first official social of the term!  Join us on Thursday night, 6 pm, at the B Street Theatre (2700 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95816) for a fun evening of mixing and mingling with fellow Rotarians.  Bring your family, your friends, your dog sitter, your neighbors...no one wants to miss this event!  The meeting will be from 6:00 pm to 7:30 and dinner will be served.

We won't be meeting on Friday, Sept. 19th as we will have our first social on Thursday evening at the B St. Theatre!

Interested in what's happening with high speed rail in California?  Join us for our meeting on Friday, September 26, 2025 when our speaker will be Marie Hoffman, Outreach Manager at California High-Speed Rail Authority.  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club, starting at 7:30 am.

It's our annual PUTTING FOR POLIO event...at Haggin Oaks Golf Course!  Instead of our usual Friday morning meeting at Del Paso Country Club, we'll be meeting at Haggin Oaks at 7:30 am for a fun morning of putting, breakfast and hijinks!  Wear your funkiest golf attire (yes, we'll have a contest!) and join us to help raise funds for the eradication of polio.  Rotary's #1 goal is to eliminate polio...in the world!  We're getting close, but we can't let up now.  Join us, bring your putter, and have fun.  And we'll accept contributions for Polio Plus...no donation is too big, or too small! 

Another great meeting coming up...besides the usual fun, merriment and announcements, Jennifer Stolo will be our speaker.  She is the CEO for Robert Craig Films and they have just produced a movie called "No Address".  Inspired by true events, No Address follows the harrowing journey of Lauren, a young woman pushed onto the streets and forced to survive against all odds. It is a gripping journey of living without walls and rising above them. It is currently available for rent or purchase on a variety of streaming services.  Check it out at https://www.noaddressmovie.com/   It has even received a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes!  Our meeting will be at North Ridge Country Club and will start promptly at 7:30 am.  But come early to mingle and have a great buffet breakfast!

Join us on October 17th as we get nostalgic and have our meeting at Fairytale Town for this one Friday only!  Take a trip down memory lane as we visit one of Sacramento's favorite childhood venues!  In keeping with the theme, our speaker will be Jim Hernandez, Head Animal Keeper at Fairytale Town, sharing some "behind-the-scenes" info!  The meeting will have our usual 7:30 am start time.  

We'll be meeting on Friday, October 24th at Del Paso Country Club - the meeting starts at 7:30 am, but come early to socialize and have breakfast!  Our speaker will be John Mohammad, COO of D.A.R.T.  The Drowning Accident Rescue Team (D.A.R.T.) was founded in 1980 by a group of concerned, caring, ambulance company employees from Elk Grove. Many of them, scuba divers and medics, familiar with drowning physiology, wanted to rescue people, rather than to recover bodies.  Their mission is to save lives and recover property from the various rivers, lakes and waterways in and around Sacramento County.   They are a  501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization that relies on donations and fundraisers to continue to serve the community.

Friday, October 31st - not only is it Halloween, but we hope you'll join us for a great meeting!  Our speaker will be Mike Nelson, who worked for the U.S. Marshals Service and served in various positions within the Service, retiring with 30 years of service as a highly decorated Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal in 1999.  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club - the bell rings to start the meeting promptly at 7:30 am, but it's always good to come early for the buffet breakfast and camaraderie!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

One of our favorite meetings,  where we celebrate those who have served our country - our annual Veteran's Day program!  Veterans Day is a U.S. legal holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars, and Veterans Day 2025 will occur on Tuesday, November 11th.  In 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in World War I, then known as “the Great War.”  In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became known as Veterans Day.  We'll be meeting at North Ridge Country Club - starting promptly at 7:30 am.
