Get ready for GARCU - the Great American River Clean-Up! On Saturday, September 20, 2025 (9 am to noon) we'll be congregating again to do our part to make our community more beautiful. We clean up the parkway...and find some very interesting things. Bring your family, your friends, your neighbors and help us do this valuable work! Our annual event is one of our favorites..."Putting for Polio" at Haggin Oaks Golf Course. Join us on Friday morning, 7:30 am, October 3rd when we'll focus on raising funds to end polio...in the world! Rotary's #1 goal is to eradicate polio, which is currently endemic in only two countries. We are so close and need everyone's help to get us across the line! The Gates Foundation is even matching all of our donations 2 to 1 (up to $50 million per year). There will be some fun putting contests and we encourage everyone to wear their best and funkiest golf outfits! Breakfast will be served.

One of our club's favorite projects - Partners In Leadership - will kick off it's 13th year with the annual conference on Tuesday, November 4th, at Sac State. Join us as a mentor to the wonderful students from Encina High...no experience necessary, nothing to prepare! Just be ready to be open, honest and make a connection with a student. SAVE THE DATE! On Sunday, November 9th, Point West Rotarians will be staffing an aid station on the bike trail for the American River "Run the Parkway" event. We've done this for several years and need helpers to pour and hand out water and energy drinks to the runners. Dan Hall is chairing this aid station for our club and he'll be providing more details as we get closer to the event.
