A meeting not to be missed...Jennifer Reason, pianist extraordinaire, will be joining us again!  Add in the usual announcements, happy dollars, bell ringers, friendship and a buffet breakfast and you've got a meeting you can't miss!  We'll be at Del Paso Country Club and the meeting starts promptly at 7:30 am!  

Our first official social of the term!  Join us on Thursday night, 6 pm, at the B Street Theatre (2700 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95816) for a fun evening of mixing and mingling with fellow Rotarians.  Bring your family, your friends, your dog sitter, your neighbors...no one wants to miss this event!  The meeting will be from 6:00 pm to 7:30 and dinner will be served.

We won't be meeting on Friday, Sept. 19th as we will have our first social on Thursday evening at the B St. Theatre!

Interested in what's happening with high speed rail in California?  Join us for our meeting on Friday, September 26, 2025 when our speaker will be Marie Hoffman, Outreach Manager at California High-Speed Rail Authority.  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club, starting at 7:30 am.

It's our annual PUTTING FOR POLIO event...at Haggin Oaks Golf Course!  Instead of our usual Friday morning meeting at Del Paso Country Club, we'll be meeting at Haggin Oaks at 7:30 am for a fun morning of putting, breakfast and hijinks!  Wear your funkiest golf attire (yes, we'll have a contest!) and join us to help raise funds for the eradication of polio.  Rotary's #1 goal is to eliminate polio...in the world!  We're getting close, but we can't let up now.  Join us, bring your putter, and have fun.  And we'll accept contributions for Polio Plus...no donation is too big, or too small! 

Another great meeting coming up...besides the usual fun, merriment and announcements, Jennifer Stolo will be our speaker.  She is the CEO for Robert Craig Films and they have just produced a movie called "No Address".  Inspired by true events, No Address follows the harrowing journey of Lauren, a young woman pushed onto the streets and forced to survive against all odds. It is a gripping journey of living without walls and rising above them. It is currently available for rent or purchase on a variety of streaming services.  Check it out at https://www.noaddressmovie.com/   It has even received a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes!  Our meeting will be at North Ridge Country Club and will start promptly at 7:30 am.  But come early to mingle and have a great buffet breakfast!

Join us on October 17th as we get nostalgic and have our meeting at Fairytale Town for this one Friday only!  Take a trip down memory lane as we visit one of Sacramento's favorite childhood venues!  In keeping with the theme, our speaker will be Jim Hernandez, Head Animal Keeper at Fairytale Town, sharing some "behind-the-scenes" info!  The meeting will have our usual 7:30 am start time.  

We'll be meeting on Friday, October 24th at Del Paso Country Club - the meeting starts at 7:30 am, but come early to socialize and have breakfast!  Our speaker will be John Mohammad, COO of D.A.R.T.  The Drowning Accident Rescue Team (D.A.R.T.) was founded in 1980 by a group of concerned, caring, ambulance company employees from Elk Grove. Many of them, scuba divers and medics, familiar with drowning physiology, wanted to rescue people, rather than to recover bodies.  Their mission is to save lives and recover property from the various rivers, lakes and waterways in and around Sacramento County.   They are a  501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization that relies on donations and fundraisers to continue to serve the community.

Friday, October 31st - not only is it Halloween, but we hope you'll join us for a great meeting!  Our speaker will be Mike Nelson, who worked for the U.S. Marshals Service and served in various positions within the Service, retiring with 30 years of service as a highly decorated Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal in 1999.  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club - the bell rings to start the meeting promptly at 7:30 am, but it's always good to come early for the buffet breakfast and camaraderie!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

One of our favorite meetings,  where we celebrate those who have served our country - our annual Veteran's Day program!  Veterans Day is a U.S. legal holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars, and Veterans Day 2025 will occur on Tuesday, November 11th.  In 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in World War I, then known as “the Great War.”  In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became known as Veterans Day.  We'll be meeting at North Ridge Country Club - starting promptly at 7:30 am.

We are excited to welcome Stephen Clark as our speaker on Friday, November 14th at Del Paso Country Club!  Stephen is the Deputy Director, Airport Commercial Development, Sacramento County Department of Airports at the Sacramento Metropolitan Airport.  It should be interesting to hear what's new and exciting at the airport!  We'll have the usual fun, happy dollars, service project announcements, fellowship...and a great breakfast!  The meeting starts promptly at 7:30 am, but come early to mix and mingle.

Join us on Friday, November 21st at Del Paso Country Club for our weekly club meeting.  Our speaker will be Roger Niello, who has been a Sacramento resident for most of his life, having graduated from Encina High School. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his Master’s Degree from UCLA, Roger began his career as a CPA.  Roger was elected to represent Placer and Sacramento counties in the State Senate in 2022. Come hear from Roger about what's happening in our state!  The meeting starts promptly at 7:30 am.

All club members are encouraged to attend this special meeting!  Cast your vote for board members to serve a 2-year term, starting July 1, 2026.  There will also be good discussion regarding the results of the recent club survey regarding budget issues and meeting costs.  Make your voice heard and join us on December 5th at Del Paso Country Club!

One of our favorite meetings of the year...Point West Rotary's annual holiday meeting!  Get in the spirit with fun, frivolity, friendship...and a whole lot of giving!  There might even be a special appearance by a big guy in a red suit...some singing (mostly off-key, but lots of fun!)...and more!  This is one meeting you don't want to miss!  We start at 7:30 am...but come early for breakfast and fellowship.  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club!

Another insightful and thought provoking meeting where our speaker will be Bruce Bruley, Breakfast Coordinator for Loaves and Fishes.  He will share what goes on at Friendship Park and the guests that they serve each weekday morning.  Many of our club members head there each month to help distribute food to those in need.  Join us to hear from Bruce...and connect with fellow members, hear more about the great work our club does, and enjoy a great buffet breakfast!  Our meeting will be at Del Paso Country Club and begins at 7:30 am.

Join us for a great meeting...and a great speaker - Amelia Stansell.  Amelia is a Past District Governor (District 7610) and is the Vice-Chair and Director of the Rotary Action Group Against Slavery (RAGAS). She will share information about what is going on in our country and the world with fighting sex trafficking...a cause our club has been invested in and supports.  We will all be on Zoom as Del Paso Country Club is not available this day.  Please join us for this insightful and informative meeting!

Another favorite meeting - our annual speech contest!  Join us as we hear from local high school students speak on "Unite for Good", which is Rotary International's theme for this year.  It's always amazing to hear how articulate and eloquent these students are!  We will be meeting at Del Paso Country Club - the meeting starts at 7:30 am, but come early to enjoy breakfast and camaraderie with fellow members! 

It's Valentine's Day Eve and we're having a meeting that is sure to be memorable!  Our speaker will be Chris Marshall, current president of the Sacramento 20-30 Club.  Don't forget that the founding members of our Rotary Club came from the 20-30 club, so let's give Chris a warm, Rotary welcome!  We'll also have a Paul Harris Fellow presentation with two new club Major Donors to be announced!  Our members are generous, kind and ready to support and help others where we can!  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club, starting at 7:30 am.  But come early for a great buffet breakfast and the opportunity to mingle with friends and fellow Rotarians!

Dick Fowler, a member of our District's Youth Protection Committee, will be joining us to provide info on what youth protection certification is all about and why we need to talk about it in Rotary.  Dick will ensure we all know what to do when faced with an ethical situation involving youth in one of our programs or events.  Also, a reminder about the annual PWR Charity Golf Classic "Birdies Over Bunkers" happening on  Monday, May 18th at Valley Hi Country Club.  We need sponsors, players, volunteers, raffle prize donators, etc.  So check your calendars (to play, sponsor or volunteer) and your closets and connections (for those great raffle prizes) and help support the tournament...and local children's charities.  As Russell Prater says...it's about the kids!  Our meeting will begin at 7:30 am at Del Paso Country Club...hope to see you there!

Senate Majority Leader Angelique Ashby will be our speaker on February 27, 2026.  Senator Ashby represents the 8th District and is the first woman elected to represent Sacramento in the California State Senate in more than 20 years. Prior to joining the legislature, she was elected to the Sacramento City Council, where she served for 12 years. She was the sole woman for more than half of her tenure, and is the only member in city history to serve as Vice Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem for 8 years.  During her time on City Council, she secured millions to fund schools, community centers, parks and fire stations. She brought thousands of high-wage jobs to the Sacramento region, by attracting a Fortune 100 company.  Join us for this great speaker...as well as a buffet breakfast, service project info, happy bucks and birthday wishes!  We will be meeting at Del Paso Country Club starting promptly at 7:30 am.

It's time for our 3rd club social...at the beautiful B Street Theatre (2700 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento)!  A little bit meeting, a lot of socializing, great food and a whole lotta fun!  Bring your family, friends, neighbors - mix and mingle and enjoy hanging out with your favorite people...Rotarians!  Don't forget...this is on a Thursday night and begins at 6 pm...which means we will be dark the next day, Friday, March 6th.  Join us for fun and socializing!
