I found my way to Rotary through an invitation from friends and former Active 20/30 club members. The genuine camaraderie, impactful service projects, and the opportunity for personal and professional growth have kept me dedicated to this remarkable organization. The motto of Rotary is “Service Above Self” and although we fundraise, we are actively engaged with hands-on projects in Sacramento and globally in places like Zambia, Mexico and New Zealand. The specific focus of our efforts is to benefit women and children in underserved areas. We have tutored elementary and middle school students to enable them to compete academically in high school and graduate. We provide food to those in need, we assist in the clean up the American River Parkway, we hold an annual leadership conference for high school students discussing leadership and personal and business ethics, and we put on the oldest Brewfest in the Sacramento area where we raise substantial funds to benefit local charities. We invite you to join us in our Rotary journey and expect that you will find fulfillment in contributing to the ongoing betterment of our Sacramento community.
Our club meetings, held regularly on Friday mornings at 7:30 am, at Del Paso Country Club, feature engaging speakers and provide a platform for meaningful connections. Please check our monthly calendar on line to confirm the location as meetings occasionally move to other venues. The time and day of the week always remain the same. If you are interested in becoming a part of Point West Rotary Club, please reach out to us at info@pointwestrotary.com, or contact me directly at paul.cunha@deacon.com, and we will gladly provide you with more information about the Rotary experience.
Thank you for your interest in the Point West Rotary Club where we continue each day to create hope in our community and beyond. We pride ourselves on being the Best Damn Rotary Club on the Planet!
Yours in Rotary Service,
Paul Cunha
President 2024-2025
