Point West Rotary Scholarships

The Rotary Club of Point West - Sacramento has awarded $15,000 in student scholarships for the 2016-17 school year to six Encina Preparatory HS graduates.
 
We were very excited to provide three 1st Year Scholarships, as well as one 2nd Year Scholarship, and two 3rd Year Scholarships.  Many of these scholarship recipients also participated in our Point West Rotary Leadership Conference.

  • "Thank you!  I'm very happy and appreciative to be selected as the recipient of your scholarship. I'm deeply appreciative of your generous support." - Yared Engida - 1st Year Scholarship (2016 graduate), CSUS
  • "Thank you!  I'm so excited." - Rashad Brown - 1st Year Scholarship (2016 graduate), Holy Names University, Oakland
These scholarships were possible due to Point West Rotary members’ generous donations and support, along with the $3,000 District Scholarship Grant The Rotary Club of Point West - Sacramento was awarded.  Collectively we have significantly impacted the above students’ continued education opportunities.
