Eradicating Polio - it's Rotary's #1 goal and we're on it!  Join us for our annual "Putting for Polio" event at Haggin Oaks Golf Course on Friday, October 9th at 7:30 am.  This will replace our usual Friday morning meeting and we will gather to putt, have fun...and raise money to help fight polio!  Polio is endemic in only two countries, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and we must continue to fight this disease to eradicate it from the world forever!  While we have no new cases here in the United States, polio is only a plane ride away so we must stay vigilant and continue to fight the good fight.  We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you on October 9th at Haggin Oaks.  Bring your putter, wear your favorite (or weirdest) golf togs and get ready to have fun and fight a disease!  We will have breakfast available as well as the usual camaraderie and fellowship!  See you there!

Another week at the circus with Point West Rotary and Ringmaster President Randy Burton!  Our speaker at this meeting will be Bradley Schmidt, CEO of  Northern California PET Imaging Center.  Brad is a nationally recognized leader in ambulatory care, including molecular imaging, radiology, and managed care design.  He has built a reputation for advancing radiology in ways that are precise, economical, and scalable. One of this week's guest will be another Rotarian...Sue Hayes from the Rotary Club of American River!  Sue will share stories about RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awakening), the week long camp for high school students that literally changes lives...both of the students who attend and the counselors!  A wonderful program that our club has supported for decades.  We'll also have our regular announcements, birthday wishes, fun...and a great buffet breakfast!  The bell rings at 7:30 am to start the meeting, but join us a bit early to eat and chat!

Join us for our meeting on Friday, October 23rd where our speaker will be Bonnie Rea of the Alzheimer's Association in Sacramento.  She will be giving us an overview of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, highlighting the latest treatment advances, practical brain health tips, and ways to get involved in the fight against the disease.  The meeting starts promptly at 7:30 am but come early for a great buffet breakfast, camaraderie and more!

Another Friday...another great meeting at Point West Rotary!  Join the circus atmosphere as our ringleader, President Randy Burton, presides over the usual announcements, happy dollars, birthdays and more!  Our guest speaker will be Tess Kraiker, President of UTI (Universal Technical Institute) - Sacramento Campus.  She will share information with us about what this great technical school, right here in Sacramento, has to offer!  The bell rings to start the meeting promptly at 7:30 am, but come early for breakfast and to mix and mingle with other Rotarians!

Please join us for our annual Veteran's Day program where we recognize those who have served our country...including our own members and family!  Come share in a meaningful time of remembrance, gratitude, and appreciation as we recognize those who have answered the call to serve.  Jackie Kirkwood will be our guest speaker and we would be honored to have you join us!

It's Friday, so there must be a Rotary meeting!  Of course there is...we'll be meeting at the Conzelmann Center, the bell rings to start the meeting at 7:30 am.  Join us as we hear from PDG Karen Cendro, wife of our own Mike Cendro, as she shares information with us about The Rotary Foundation and ways we can support those locally and globally as we "Do Good in the World"!  Buffet breakfast, happy dollars, birthdays and more...we just need you there to make it complete!
